In March and April 2009, MCIC has supported a young local organization from Kosovo – Kosovo Agency for Advocacy and Development (KAAD) - by providing a 3-day tailored training and follow-up expert support for developing a specific project proposal. The training was organized from March 31 to April 2 in Skopje for nine representatives of the Agency. The focus was on the EU funding and the Log Frame approach as a basis for preparation of the project proposal. The product of the training was the developed Log Frame for a project on strengthening the participation of minorities in Kosovo in the decision making process on local level. The training was delivered in English language by Tanja Hafner Ademi and Fatmir Bytyqi. Albertina Binaku, executive director, expressed her satisfaction from the things she learned: “The training provided us with a greater knowledge on developing projects and this will be used for preparation of project proposals for the EIDHR call. MCIC’s team of trainers showed decisiveness in the mentor approach and transfer of knowledge to the participants.” In April the participants received additional individual expert assistance for furthering the Log Frame and developing the specific project proposal. The Agency also received support for preparation of technical documentation through a practical training delivered by Daniela Stojanova. The deliverable of the MCIC’s support was the project proposal that was submitted to the open call of the European Commission Liaison Office (ECLO) in Pristina.
