The overall goal of the project of the project was developed organizational and institutional capacities of the civil society organizations and other actors of the civil society.

The objective of the project was strengthened human resources among the actors in the civil society in Macedonia.

The target groups of the project were actors in the civil society, i.e. formal citizens’ organizations and networks and all other actors of the civil society (syndicates, religious communities, and other).

The expected result of the project was trained representatives of the civil society and other actors of the civil society.

The open call for application of candidates, for participation at the training was published in the daily newspapers: “Dnevnik” in Macedonian language and “Koha” in Albanian language. The information on the training was sent to all organizations found in the data base of MCIC. The training applications were also available on the internet site of the Civic World.

The selection of the candidates was made on the basis of the assessment of the candidate and organization. As criteria for assessment of the candidates were the following: degree of education, position in the organization and previous experience in the sector. Whereas the criteria for assessment of the organization were the following: field of work, years of existence of the organization, budget, cooperation with other organizations and institutions.

The training costs were covered by MCIC (90%) whereas the participants also participated with 10% in the training and travel costs.

At the end of the training, the participants filled out questionnaires for evaluation of the training. The results from the questionnaires for evaluation of the training, which referred to the programme part, pointed out that, generally, the courses fulfilled their expectations. They feel that they have learnt the bases encompassed with the specific cycle of training.

All participants observed the training with great interest. They were interested for the topics in the programme. During the trainings, there was high degree of interaction and cooperation with the trainers and active participation in the practical exercises and presentations.

Additional value of the training was the mutual acquaintance among the participants and developing mutual contacts, which will contribute to increase of their mutual cooperation.

MCIC was fully responsible for implementation of the programme.

The funds for implementation of the programme were provided by the Danish Church Aid (DCA) as well as by own funds, through the participation fee provided by the participants.

The time period was June 15th – December 20th 2007.

The project costs amount to 2,397.457,50 MKD.
