The overall goal of the project was to contribute to the development and building of the capacities of the civil society organizations, through comprehensive programme for capacity building, based on the identified and assessed requirements for training for the local civil society organizations in the regions of Tetovo and Kumanovo.

The objectives of the project were: increase of the capacities of the local civil society organizations from the regions of Tetovo and Kumanovo for long-term sustainability, through provision of trainings for capacity building on various topics, relevant for the development of the civil society organizations; improvement of cooperation and networking of the local civil society organizations from the regions of Tetovo and Kumanovo and promotion of opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the local self-government and local civil society organizations from the Tetovo and Kumanovo region.

Within the project, 14 trainings were conducted (7 in Tetovo and 7 in Kumanovo), 6 workshops (3 in Tetovo and 3 in Kumanovo) and 8 days for consultations.

The following activities were realized: training on project cycle management (PCM: 1st and 2nd phase); consultations for project cycle management; workshop for budgeting; consultations for project formulation and access to donors; workshop for preparation of projects, together with the local self-government; training on monitoring and evaluation workshop for coalitions and networks building with the local self-government – Tetovo and Kumanovo;  training on human resources management – motivation of volunteers and team building; training on administrative working; training on public relations: basic.

MCIC was fully responsible for the programme implementation.

The funds for the implementation of the programme were provided by OSCE, as well as through their own funds, received through the participation fee of the participants.

The time period for the implementation was February 10th – December 20th 2007.

The budget amounted to 359.153,50 MKD.
