Corruption assessment report on North Macedonia 2023 |
Authors: Jasmina Ristovska, Natasa Dimova, Snezana Kamilovska Trpovska, Fanija Ivanovska and Jasmina Chaushoska Within the “Civil Society for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption in South East Europe: Building Capacity for Evidence-Based Advocacy, Policy Influence and Civic Engagement (SELDI.net)” and “Citizens Against Corruption” projects, MCIC issues the “Corruption Assessment Report on North Macedonia”. MCIC prepared a Corruption Assessment Report in 2014 and in 2016, as part of USAID AntiCorruption Program, in 2018, as part of the “Monitoring the work of the SCPC” project, supported by the British Embassy, and in 2019 and 2021, as part of “Civil Society for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption in South-Eastern Europe: Building Capacity for Monitoring, Advocacy and Awareness Raising” project, supported by the European Commission. The Corruption Assessment Report is a comprehensive overview of the state of affairs and dynamics of corruption in North Macedonia. The methodology for the preparation of this report relies on diverse sources of information and combines quantitative and qualitative corruption monitoring and assessment methods, including a population survey. The report consists of seven chapters: level of corruption, policies, institutions, judiciary, economy, civil society and international cooperation. |
